Ptfe Teflon Sheet

PTFE resins (polytetrafluoroethylene or Teflon) is a thermoplastic material formed by the polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene. PTFE reacts with virtually no chemicals and is one of the most chemically resistant materials among crystalline thermoplastics.

PTFE exhibits excellent self-lubricating properties. With a coefficient of friction as low as 0.05, even very thin PTFE films demonstrate excellent non-stick performance. PTFE can withstand high temperatures up to 300℃ for short periods and can be used continuously between 240℃-260℃, providing significant thermal stability. It can operate at freezing temperatures without becoming brittle and won't melt at high temperatures.

Teflon is chemically stable and does not react with body fluids, blood, or other biological media. It meets FDA requirements and can be safely implanted in the human body.

DoonX® offers black and white PTFE sheets and maintains inventory in our warehouse for fast shipping. White and black PTFE rods are also available here.

Although pure PTFE has the highest mechanical strength among fluoroplastics, it is inferior to thermoplastic engineering materials like PEEK and POM. Therefore, in applications requiring high mechanical loads, filled modification methods are commonly used, such as adding glass fiber, carbon fiber, and other fillers to improve mechanical strength.
